Beaumont Trophy

June 18, 2017

On Friday 16th June, St Audrys Seniors hosted their 2nd round match in the Beaumont Trophy against Diss. It was a warm & sunny day & the team (from left to right in the accompanying photograph) of Eddie Barnes, David Leech, Aly Andrews (captain), Rob Haste, John Chapman, Mel Williams, Frank Wilson & Mike Hammond knew they had a tough battle on their hands.

The match was played in a splendid spirit & the course looked magnificent. All 4 pairs played out their 18 holes under the Hambro scoring system & after a total of 72 holes played, St Audrys won by 3 holes. A brilliant result & many congratulations go to the entire team. We hope for good luck for them in the next round away to Gorleston.

Bar Opening

May 22, 2017

BAR OPENING HOURS DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS

In response to the many comments that were made in the questionnaire about opening the club bar more often, it has been agreed that the St Audrys Golf Club bar will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 27 May to 28 August between 12 noon and 6.00pm on Saturdays and 11.30am to 5.30pm on Sundays.

The bar will be manned by Keith Hudson (Richard Hudson’s son), together with volunteers on those days when Keith is not available.

When the bar is open, signage will be altered so that green fee players are asked to pay at the bar.

Keith’s prime responsibility will be to man the bar and to take green fees from those who report to him at the bar. He will also monitor the number of golfers and times that they play the course which will help us develop our business plan.

This is your chance to prove that opening the bar can be viable so USE IT OR LOSE IT!
